NOTE: This video features pro-shot video footage and very nice soundboard audio. The quality of the video is decent, but not great. The close-ups look pretty solid, with a considerable amount of detail being visible. That is, except for when the camera focuses on The Edge. For some reason, his face doesn't show up very well and he looks like The Invisible Man at times. The shots of Bono, whom the camera focuses on more than anyone else, are quite nice. Shots of the entire band and the crowd aren't quite as sharp. Overall, the footage is a bit dark.
My source video is likely a fairly high generation video cassette. The footage on my copy is black and white, but the master copy is likely in color. Repeated copying of a video cassette can cause the color to disappear. Unfortunately, this video is quite difficult to find, and I have yet to locate anyone who has a recording better than this one...let alone someone who has a color copy.
During the Paris concert, "I Will Follow" cuts out approximately 1:25 into the song. There are a few seconds of dead air with the AIWA logo on a blue screen and then "Sunday Bloody Sunday" begins with "...mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart..." and lasts for approximately 3:30.
Memorable moments from the concert include a big fat guy in suspenders climbing on stage at the end of The Electric Co. and holding Bono like a baby for quite a while. Also, there is the infamous tear gas incident during "With Or Without You".
During the Rotterdam concert, the footage cuts out during "C'Mon Everybody" at 1:25. After a few seconds of distortion, the picture evens out again before "Bullet the Blue Sky".
The final track includes an interview with Bono and Adam on a show called "Count Down". The interviewer, Adam Curry, has long, blonde hair that looks very '80s. He asks a bunch of stupid questions and Bono has to try hard not to laugh on several occasions. During the interview, Bono says "Actually, we'd like to be in a country group." He picks up his guitar and sings a 0:40 version of "Lucille". "I just wrote that this morning" he says. The footage of "I Will Follow" is very clean.
