NOTE (distributed with .shn files): This is WILATW's recording.  He asked why he had to crank the volume up on his recording.  After downloading it, and listening.  It appeared to be a normalization problem. Sure enough, after looking at the wav file in Cool Edit 2000, there were a couple peaks caused by nearby clappers.  These peaks went way over the average level of the rest of the recording.  Thus, when normalized, it normalized to these peaks and did not raise the level of the rest of the show.

So, I reconstructed the show as a single wav file, then isolated the 2 separate peaks and manually  reduced them to the average level of the rest of the show. I then normalized the entire show to 98%. I was able to keep the same track/cue points. No processing or cutting was done at all.

This is not as a dramatic improvement as the June 25th recording got (probably because of the different taping postion) but still this fix brings this recording to life.

NOTE: This is a remastered version of "Vertigo Dublin - Night Three".  Here are my comments for that recording:

This recording is pretty strong and vocals and instruments feature about evenly in the mix.   Audience noise is not much of an issue, although a few brief conversations among people near the taper can be heard on occasion.  Overall sound clarity keeps this recording from rating "Excellent Audience".  The sound is a tad bit muddy and lacks crispness.

The encore performance of "Vertigo" cuts out at 3:33.  "Yahweh" and "40" are missing.

Note the rare appearance of "Bad" on a European leg setlist.
