NOTE: Another top shelf audience recording from the Vertigo Tour. The sound quality on this recording is excellent. It features a great mix of music and vocals. All of the instruments sound crisp, although I am especially impressed by the clarity of Larry's drums. Audience noise is minimal...I only heard individual voices on one occasion during my scan of this recording. A girl near the taper can be heard during "An Cat Dubh".
The taper felt that this one not one of the band's best performances. I agree. Bono starts songs late on occasion, reverting to his bad habit of half-heartedly speaking lyrics a couple of times to catch up. The "Stories For Boys" snippet is left out of "Vertigo" as Bono essentially says nothing during this portion of the song until introducing Larry on the drums. Overall, the band seems to be a bit off. Nonetheless, the quality of the recording is excellent.
