History: Nak 300 CM > Analog master > DAT > CDR > WAV > Remastered (mono) > CDR
NOTE: I converted Georg Nigsch's "Detroit - 08/12/84" to mono to eliminate the dropouts in one channel. The end result is a very nice Unforgettable Fire recording that is quite rare as well. Because the recording is mono, it isn't overly dynamic. However, I would much prefer a recording that is a tiny bit flat to one that is plagued by dropouts.
UPDATE (March 23, 2006): Given the source information provided by Georg, I have a sneaky suspiscion that this recording may be from the same source as "UF Detroit 1984". However, the dropouts on Georg's recording must have occuured during the transfer to DAT, as I didn't hear any on my initial scan of "UF Detroit 1984".
