NOTE: This is a big improvement over "Into the Arms of America" - the other bootleg of this concert in my collection . My guess is that this recording was transferred to CDR from a very low generation analog recording, although I am not certain of this. I do know, however, that it was not transferred from the vinyl version of this concert that is floating around. Sound quality and clarity are both excellent and crowd noise is not at all invasive. There is absolutely no background noise. There are a few times between songs when the volume dips just a bit, but this doesn't affect the music. Acquire this recording along with "Joshua Tree Los Angeles -- 18 April 1987" and "Joshua Tree Los Angeles -- 21 April 1987" and you will own three rare, high quality recordings of U2's first trip to Los Angeles on The Joshua Tree tour.
