Comments: Very good quality overall in
this recording. The sound is very clear, with a nice capture of all instruments
(this recording does not lack of bass,
as some others do during the first leg of the ZooTV). The only blemish
is that sound is a little rough and tiny flat, but it still features good
crispness. Audience noise is audible and somewhat rowdy, but usually between
songs. Music comes through pretty well, although it is slightly distant.
To sum up, in my opinion, this recording can be placed between the very
good audience and the excellent audience rating due to the crisp sound
and considering its rarity.
This item is not flawless. A few pops between
a pair of songs are audible on CD1. Who's Gonna Ride contains a skip
at 0:30 that cuts off a few seconds of
the song. I found another skip in Running to Stand Still at 03:53, with
no
loss of music. There's an edit between
Arms Around the World and Angel of Harlem, with no loss of music in any
of
the songs. Another edit exists just
before Desire.
