NOTE (from taper, distributed with .flac files): This is my first ever attempt at recording a U2 gig and only my second ever recording of any show (the first being the previous night at a REM gig).  I was situated on the barrier just down a little on the right hand ramp on the inside.  It was a very last minute decision on whether to record the show or not as it was still daylight and the mic would have been very visible to security if I had gone with my initial plan to have my back pack strapped to the barrier with the mic sticking out the top of it.  In the end I went with Plan B. Which basically was having the mic sticking out of the top of the back pack, which in turn was placed on the ground leaning against the barrier.  I had no idea if it would work or not but given the loudness of the sound system I knew I would get something.  Thankfully at no point was the Back Pack kicked etc.  I recorded it in LP2 as it would have been too much hassle swapping disks out and setting the levels again during the encore. And besides I wanted to be able to enjoy the show myself. Of course I managed to stand next a girl who screamed hysterically like she was about to get murdered. And I must confess I came close of actually doing so a couple of times.  That all said I must confess I was pleasantly surprised by the results when I got home and listened to the recording.  Anyways, If you decide to download the show I hope you enjoy it. Especially if you were one of the lucky ones to be there on the night. And if you weren’t then I hope you enjoy what was a great show.  Ahhh All I Want Is You.... Fabby!!!

NOTE: A very good recording considering that the taper had only one live show under his belt before this one.  A nice overall mix, with Bono's vocals and the bands instruments being about equally prominent.  The recording lacks the sharpness to measure up to the best audience recordings from this tour, but it is very solid nonetheless.  Audience noise really isn't all that bad, and the screaming girl that the taper mentions is more or less relegated to the background.  As a result, she is far less distracting than many other screamers made famous on various Vertigo Tour recordings.

"All I Want Is You" is played for the first time on the Vertigo Tour and ISHFILF makes another rare appearance in the setlist.
