An email from AW who asked me to seed this:

I was wondering if you could help me out here. I have been using torrents a lot, but actually never been able to create one myself and seed it.  Also, I've been out of the trading loop for a few years now (not since 2001 or so). I'm cleaning out some of my tapes and discs and came across some items I haven't seen around that much...

I have a show here from 3-28-85 Maple Leaf Gardens Toronto, it's a 2nd gen tape with unknown mics: sort of binaural/clip-on mic. All I remember from the guy was that he and his friends taped it in a way to 'get the best stereo effect, by having two friends to the far left and far right each holding one of two mics'. Apparently 1 of them wasn't clicked in properly so the full stereo effect kicks in halfway through Bad.  The sound is still good throughout the show.  The tape is complete from intro song up until the very last moments of '40'. Although this song still runs for over 7 1/2 minutes, it gets cuts off moments for the ending.

The tape I received is a Maxell XLII. I recorded and spliced the tracks in Sound Forge 6.

NOTE: This recording is very clear and quite powerful.  The overall mix favors the high end, which is almost piercing at times.  The overall sound, but most notably Bono's vocals, seems to become slightly distant from time to time.  The microphone incident mentioned above - the small glitch that occurred when the second microphone was properly plugged in -- occurs at 5:30 of "Bad".
