NOTE (by RossMan, distributed with .flac files): This is a decent recording but is plagued by screamers. It also seems to have a lot of level changes to the left channel. I only had to do 1 edit for this show, which occurs between d01 & d02 due to a tape flip. There were edits in the original recording which I did not have to alter. No music seemed to be lost. Sounded like the recording being and started again. I normalized to 98% and faded in d01 and faded out d02. Pimm's U2 live book indicates that "Gloria" was played at this show between d02t06 & d02t07. But this recording flows seamlessly through those tracks. Unless they played it before Party Girl.
NOTE: Throughout "A Sort of Homecoming"
the sound has a wave-like quality to it that is likely the result of degradation
of the source tape. Personally, I don't find the audience noise on
this recording to be any worse than it is a typical recording from this
era. There are a few screamers audible on occasion, but they do not
overwhelm the recording. I would rate the overall quality of this
recording slightly below that of "You Know
the Words?"
