NOTE: Transferred to DVD from a first generation VHS tape by John Telleria. The video appears to have been shot from very low in the stands, straight away from the main stage. The footage is very high quality for an audience-shot video from this time period, and considerable detail is visible when the taper zooms in. The taper occasionally has some difficulty holding the camera still during the closeup footage. Don't look for much footage of Adam...he is barely seen on this video, as the taper focuses almost exclusively on Bono in terms of closeups. A few tight shots of The Edge are included as well. At least Larry can be seen in the background during the footage of Bono singing from the middle of the main stage. Like the video, the quality of the audio is excellent considering that it came from an audience-shot video from this time period.
There is a skip at approximately 2:24 of "Zoo Station". Before this time, the camera is very shaky...almost as if the taper had dropped it. After the skip, the taper begins to focus on the stage. The skip sacrifices only a few words, I believe. During the first half of "Mysterious Ways", the intro to "Until the End of the World", and the intro to "Streets", the camera seems to be pointed at the ground (black screen) instead of at the stage.
After "The Fly", Bono says "I feel sick tonight. Will you look after me?", then feigns a fall. The band cuts the show short, removing "Desire" and "Ultraviolet (Light My Way)" from the encore, apparently due to Bono's illness. Bono does not even bother to put on his Mirrorball Man costume on this night. Also of note, Bono also does not bring a woman on stage to dance with him during "Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around the World", but does briefly at the beginning of "Running To Stand Still".
