NOTE: The video begins with a 2:30 intro featuring a mosaic of Lovetown concert ticket stubs with "4th of July" playing in the background. Then the words "do you remember?" appear on the screen, followed by a video clip of the band in the early days playing "Out of Control". Bono literally climbs into the crowd during the performance and eventually rips his own shirt off. The quality of this clip isn't the greatest -- it is obviously from a fairly high generation VHS tape -- but the video quality probably rates at about a 7. The audio is decent, again about a 7.
Following the "Out of Control" clip, the words "the last time together" appear on the screen. This followed by the band's performance of "Angel of Harlem" at the Smile Jamaica Concert on October 16, 1988. Again, the video was obviously transferred from a high generation VHS tape. Video quality is about a 7, audio quality is probably an 8.
Following the Smile Jamaica performance, "TODAY!!!!!" appears on the screen and the December 12, 1989 concert in Paris begins. Filmed from in the stands on the right side (Adam's side) at an approximately 20 degree angle from the stage. The video quality is actually quite good compared to most other audience-shot footage from the Lovetown Tour. While the is some washout, it is possible to distinguish features on the band members faces at times. The footage includes a mix of wide-angle shots and closeups. There audio is very solid, but it crackles softly from time to time -- almost as if it was dubbed from a vinyl source.
The taper has problems keeping the camera still during "Streets", which is not surprising given how much the audience was jumping up and down. While the crowd calms down considerably after the first few songs, the taper continues to have difficulty keeping the camera still. The shaking is wild, but it is certainly noticeable. Every once in a while the person in front of the taper raises his hands, thereby partially obstructing the view. But the number of obstructions really isn't bad for an audience-shot video.
The song titles and their album/release date appear across the screen at the beginning of each song.
