NOTE: I ripped the "U2 - Zoolaide - Adelaide 16-11-93" DVD to .m2v and then remuxed the video with audio from the "Acthung Adelaide!" CD bootleg in .mp2 format.  There are a few instances during the video where the VCR that was used to convert the second generation VHS tape to .mpeg originally had some tracking difficulties (the picture becomes heavily distorted for brief periods of time), so it was virtually impossible to get the audio to match up precisely throughout the entire video.  In the end, however, the audio is in sync with the video for almost the whole concert.  There really are only a few instances where the difference in video and audio is perceptible, and even then it is only a small fraction of a second off.

In order to convert the audio from the "Achtung Adelaide" CDR bootleg to a format that I could combine with the .m2v video from the "U2 - Zoolaide - Adelaide 16-11-93" DVD to form an mpeg2 file that could be burned to DVD, I had to first convert the .wav files to .mp3 and then to .mp2.  Not surprisingly, the sound quality suffered a bit from the conversions.  This is really only noticeable in the lack of crispness in the high end (particularly the cymbals) and some very minor background noise during the quietest parts of the recording, such as the down time before "Stay".

The video quality is pretty good overall, though not up to par with videos converted from master or first generation tapes.  As is typical of second generation videos, the footage is not as crisp or well defined as it is on lower generation tapes.  This is more noticeable in the wide-angle shots, but even the closeups appear a bit "soft".  Nonetheless, I have seen plenty of versions of this video and this is right up near the top in terms of quality.  I don't know if we're going to be able to find anything better unless someone is able to come up with a first generation copy or the master itself.  Remember, just like the 11 June 1992 concert in Stockholm, this show was broadcast via satellite to the home of a contest winner in Australia.
